AJ’s Wild West Buffalo Round–up

Enjoy the return of the Wild West as 1500 buffalo are gathered and corralled in Custer State Park for the 43rd Buffalo Round–up. Once in the corral you can watch corral side as the animals are branded and vaccinated in preparation for the big November auction sale. Tour the festival booths and enjoy a barbecue lunch.
The Buffalo Roundup Arts Festival is September 27th through 29th, 2008. The festival includes a pancake feed, western and Native American entertainment and many exhibits and craft booths. Also on September 28 is the 19th annual chili cook-off. The first two days, the festival is held on the festival grounds adjacent to the Peter Norbeck Visitor Center. On the third day and final day, the festival is held on at the buffalo corrals complex.
