The Festival of Presidents
June 27th and 28th, 2008
The Festival of Presidents is a two-day patriotic civic event in the heart of Rapid City which will feature a patriotic parade; free concerts, a store decorating contest, a patriotic music contest, an official salute to “The City of Presidents” statues, great food, and much more. The Rapid City Downtown Association established the Festival of Presidents to celebrate The City of Presidents project of placing statues of all U.S. Presidents throughout the downtown area. It has taken 6 years to reach the “half-way” point of this project. We intend to honor this great achievement and to encourage its completion. The Festival of Presidents is dedicated to the concept of preserving these accomplishments by keeping our city’s downtown area vibrant, clean, and safe.
